UPSC Civil Services Examination 2018: IAS, IPS, IFS Posts, Cut off Date

 
The UPSC civil services examination is held for the posts of IAS, IPS, IFS and other posts of civil services.
 
The upper age limit for appearing for UPSC Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2018 has been set at 32 years.
 
“The upper age limit as on 01.08.2018 for Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2018 is 32 years. This upper-age limit is relaxable for reserved category candidates,” Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh said in Rajya Sabha recently.

“As per the guidelines issued by the Department of Personnel & Training (DoP&T) on crucial date for determining age limits for competitive examination conducted in parts by the UPSC/SSC vide OM No. AB.14017/70/87-Estt.(RR) dated 14th JULY, 1988, the cut-off date for Civil Services Examination is decided,” Singh added.Singh also said that the age limit is applicable to all candidates and so there is no question of being unfair to any applicants.

 

UPSC Civil Services Prelims Results 2018 Exam results were declared on July 15.
 
The exam was conducted on June 3. The results have been declared on upsconline.nic.in and upsc.gov.in
 
The candidates who qualified will have to submit the DAF (CSM) online on the official website. The UPSC exam 2018 was organised in two parts – Paper-I in the morning and Paper-II in the afternoon.
 
Candidates need 33 per cent score in Paper II of UPSC Prelims 2018 in order to qualify for UPSC Main Exam 2018.

 

The civil services examination is conducted annually by the UPSC in three stages – preliminary, main and interview – to select officers for Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS) and Indian Police Service (IPS), among others. The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is an organisation that works under the central government to recruit staff for various posts in the various ministries and departments, and in subordinate offices.

 

The commission also conducts examinations for the recruitment in various departments of the state.
