UGC NET 2017 66% Hike in Application Fee disturbs aspirants

66% increase in application fee, CBSE UGC NET 2017

 

To much dismay of the candidates who aspire to sit for the UGC NET 2017, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has increased the fee for application by 66%.
 
The 66% hike in UGC National Eligibility Test (NET) 2017 exam fee double the amount raised the previously.
 
This hike has been applied to all categories. This will affect the unreserved categories the most; general category has to now pay Rs 1000, earlier they were paying Rs 600. The OBC-NCL category candidates were paying Rs 300, now they will pay Rs 500. UGC NET November 2017 exam fee for the candidates belonging to the SC/ST candidates has been hiked from Rs 150 to Rs 250.
 
The students felt double trouble, that earlier the exam was shifted from July to November, now the hike in fee.
 
The UGC NET 2017 exam registration process has already begun from August 11 and the exam will be conducted on November 5 this year.
 
The last date for applying online is September 11.
