The Central Board of Secondary Education will conduct the UGC-NET examination on January 22, 2017. CBSE has said that this year the answer sheets will be evaluated digitally. The Digi-Scoring method will be used for the evaluation of UGC NET answer sheets.
CBSE has announced that Digi Scoring has been used for the first time for evaluation of Navodaya Vidyalaya Sangathan recruitment examination of Principals and Assistant Commissioners conducted on December 4, 2016. The technique had further been used in the evaluation of Kendriya Vidyalaya recruitment test held on December 17, for the post of Principals.
In the process of Digi-Scoring, the OMR sheets are scanned and images are stored instantly on a central server. The information of each applicant is stored in a temper proof format which saves time and efficiency. Digi-Scoring will offer several benefits in terms of accuracy, transparency, cost efficiency and time. CBSE has planned to conduct the UGC-NET examination on January 22 in the same format before using it for the other competitive exams.
