The Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET 2016) will be not be postponed. The exam will be conducted as per the scheduled dates, that is on May 4 and 5. In the wake of II-PU chemistry question paper leaks twice in 10 days, the education department was planning to postpone the exam.
Students from the State of Karnataka, who fall under the PIO (Persons of Indian Origin) and the OCI (Overseas Citizens of India) categories, can now apply for the Karnataka CET 2016. The last date for the submission of application forms has already been extended till February 25, 2016. The Karnataka High Court has issued fresh directions to the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) to grant permission to overseas students. Earlier on August 27, 2015, the High Court had directed that overseas students be allowed to appear in the common entrance test.
The last date to fill the online application for Karnataka CET 2016 has extended upto February 21, 2016. The last date for payment of fees has also been extended upto 23-02-2016.
