Special Instructions for Open School Candidates, Upper age limit for NEET aspirants removed

Much to the relief of aspirants CBSE has removed the age restriction that had been set at 25 years for applying for NEET UG 2018 Entrance Exam. This has been done as per the directive of the Delhi High Court.
Now candidates belonging to UR category aged above 25 years and candidates belonging to SC/ST/ OBC category, and entitled for reservation aged above 30 years, also can submit their application form.
With candidates all aspiring to take NEET 2018 exam this year in May, several aspirants were debarred from taking the test. With no official word on whether they would be allowed to sit for the NEET exam on May 6, 2018 or not, at least these candidates shall now be able to apply online for the exam.
CBSE has also announced that candidates from NIOS/State Open School and students who passed class 12 with Biology as an additional subject, and those who have passed as private candidates are also eligible to apply.

CBSE has released special instruction for aspirants from open school who are applying for the NEET 2018. As per the Delhi High Court orders, candidates who were initially barred from applying for NEET 2018 have been permitted to fill the online application forms by March 9, 2018. The eligibility for these candidates will be conditional to the outcome of the writ petition. Honoring the Delhi High Court’s order, the board has asked the students to apply for the examination.
Keeping in mind certain concerns faced by Open school/NOIS candidates, CBSE has laid down some special instructions while they fill the NEET 2018 Online Application Form.
The students from Open School were facing problems while filling the Class XI details in the NEET 2018 online application forms. Now the CBSE has asked these students to submit the details as suggested below. For example as they were asked the name of the school – they should write ‘Same as Class XII”  – the rest is provided in the table below.
