The Central Board of Secondary Education has announced the dates for Class X and XII exams. The exams will be held from March 9 that were delayed by a week due to the elections in five states – Punjab, Goa, Manipur, Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh, reports the Tribune
The CBSE Class X exams will end on April 10 while the Class XII exams will continue till April 29. The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) aspirants are worried due to a delay of one week in the CBSE exams. They will get lesser time for the preparation of NEET as the last exam of class XII is onMarch 25 and NEET is scheduled for May 7, 2017.
CBSE had made efforts to maintain a reasonable time gap in the Board exams and the major competitive exams so that the students may get proper time for the preparation for NEET and JEE exams. The board also said that the result will be declared on time as it had adopted various IT initiatives for faster processing of result.
The uncertainty continues among the ICSE and ISC students as the Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) is yet to announce the new schedule for these exams. CISCE had released the date sheet for class 10 and 12 exams on December 1, 2016, but the exams will be rescheduled due to the assembly elections in five states. The ISC exams were scheduled to start on February 6 and the ICSE exams from February 27.

All India Institute of Medical Sciences has opened the online registrations for MBBS course on its official website. Candidates can apply for admission to MBBS course at AIIMS campuses at New Delhi, Patna, Bhopal, Jodhpur, Bhubaneshwar, Rishikesh and Raipur.
All deemed universities that offer MBBS and BDS programs have been asked to admit students from the merit list of the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET).
