On Wednesday, the Madras High Court Bench put an interim injunction on CBSE to declare the results NEET conducted on May 7 till June 12. This test was for admission to undergraduate medical courses in government as well as private colleges in the country. Now the CBSE cannot declare the results for the NEET exam till June 12 at least; after which will be awaited further notice depending on the verdict of Court.
Justice Murlidharan granted interim injunction on the ground that different question papers were set in 10 different languages and there could be discrimination in selection because one question paper could be easier than the other and question could hold different meanings.
Holding the same mind to agreement with a group of nine petitioners a group of nine students from Madurai and one from Tiruchi; the petitioners put forward that CBSE should not have set different question papers in different languages. The judge of Madras High court has told the board to file its counter affidavit by June 12 and explain as why there wasn’t a common question paper.
