JEE Main Exam will be held on April 8 2018. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will conduct the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE)-Main Examination.
JEE Main will be conducted in pen and paper mode in offline mode. The dates for the online entrance exam and opening of the registration of candidates will be announced soon.
The JEE-Main 2018 is conducted by the CBSE every year for admissions to the National Institutes of Technology (NITs) and other centrally funded technical institutes. A Joint Admission Board (JAB) of the IITs conduct JEE-Advance for filling their seats.
Candidates qualifying the JEE-Main are selected for taking the JEE-Advance based on their performance in the test and other eligibility criteria.
JEE-Advance will be held May 20, 2018. JEE-Advance, 2018 examination will be a fully computer based test. On the basis of performance of the candidate in this exam further admission to Bachelor’s, integrated Master’s and dual degree programmes in all the IITs can be carried out.
The top 2.24 lakh students (including all categories) will be declared qualified for taking the JEE-Advance, based on their scores in Paper-1 of the JEE (Main), 2018.
The decision of the Joint Admission Board (JAB) of the IITs will be taken as final in a all matters related to JEE-Advanced, 2018 and admission to the IITs.
