The Punjab and Haryana High Court has asked the CBSE to decide on whether or not to upload the answer keys of the All India Pre Medical Test (AIPMT) 2014 on its website before the assessment of the optical mark recognition (OMR) sheets commences. The HC asked the Board to make up its mind on whether or not they will put the AIPMT answer keys online within one month.
A division bench comprising Chief Justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul and Justice Arun Palli issued the order while hearing a PIL filed by Dr. Arvind Goyal, a Chandigarh resident. In his petition, Goyal also demanded that the Board should make a new provision for allowing candidates to register their dissatisfaction with ambiguous questions and answers. In addition, the judiciary’s intervention was sought to ensure that the objections or protests lodged by subject experts were duly considered.
The petitioner drew the court’s attention to earlier instances wherein he had pointed out mistakes in NCERT books of Biology for Classes XI and XII.
The High Court, in its ruling, asked the CBSE to consider and take a decision on the issues raised by Goyal.
