The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell has extended the last date to apply for MHT CET 2017 to April 10, 2017. The application window has been opened again from April 7 to April 10 for those aspirants who missed the deadline to apply for MHT CET 2017.
Candidates who were not able to apply for MHT CET or not able to complete the application process can now apply for the same before the new deadline April 10, 2017. The registration window has been reopened after receiving several requests from the parents and students demanding another chance to apply for the entrance test.
As this is an extended application window the applicants will be required to pay twice the application fee. The application fee is Rs.1600/- for general candidates and Rs. 1200/- for reserved categories.
The demand for admission to engineering and pharmacy courses is increasing in the state. This year, a 45 percent increase has been recorded in the applications for MHTCET applications for engineering and pharmacy courses.
The numbers of applications are increasing as JEE is a relatively tougher exam with negative marking scheme. Securing a seat in engineering through MHTCET is easier as compared to JEE mains.
