Delhi University UG Admission 2018 – Out of the over 2.70 lakh registrations for admission to Delhi University undergraduate courses, more than 85 percent of applicants are from the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) reports Indian Express
This year, 278,574 candidates applied for admission in the various UG courses for over 56,000 seats of DU during the registration process carried out between May 15 and June 6 2018.
Of these, 249,694 come from the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), followed by 22,266 from the Uttar Pradesh board, 10,858 from the Board of School Education, Haryana, 9,681 from Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, a private board, 3,856 students registered from the National Institute of Open Schooling. The least number of applicants 245 from the Mizoram Board of School Education, and 277 from Aligarh Muslim University Board.
The total number of male applicants are 1,44,248, women 1,34,297 and other applicants 29.
According to an official from the university, 2,78,544 aspirants have made payments.
The admission process will kickstart with the publishing of the first cut-off on June 19, 2018
The varsity has provisioned for five cut-offs in all this year, but may issue more depending on the availability of seats.
