Class X Results for Other Regions are expected to be announced in the next few days (hopefully all may be released within this week).
TOI Reports that Officials at CBSE admit that announcement of results has been delayed, but do not want to comment over the issue. Off the record they put the blame on introduction of Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) this year. “Preparation of results is more tedious than ever before. This may be gauged from the fact that every student’s result is spread across four sheets. Then results for students who have taken the board exams is being prepared simultaneously,” said one of them. Another officer attributed the delay to the All India Engineering Entrance Examination paper leak.
Indian Express reports that , With the implementation of the Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) system in Class X, the CBSE has decided to come out with a more detailed report card. The new card will be divided into three parts — scholastic areas, co-scholastic areas and co-scholastic activities. According to the CCE, students are evaluated in both scholastic and co-scholastic areas.
Scholastic and co-scholastic areas of both Classes IX and X will be documented. In part I of the report card, the academic performance of students will be assessed. The academic areas are graded on a nine-point scale. “A student getting grade A+ will get a grade point of 10 and a student getting a grade of A will get a grade point of 9, and so on,” a CBSE spokesperson said. In fact, Section 1(A) will have the grades, which includes the formative assessment (FA), summative assessment (SA), overall grade (FA+SA) and grade point.
