There are some changes in WB TET 2018 exam eligibility criteria. Candidates who have successfully completed two-year teachers training programme and have secured at least 50 per cent in their Higher Secondary Examinations are only eligible for Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) in state-aided primary schools of West Bengal are eligible.
The notification for the examination is expected to be released today. WB TET 2018 will be conducted for about 30,000 posts West Bengal.
WBTET is conducted by the West Bengal Central School Service Commission. From this academic year onwards WB TET will be conducted as per National Council for Teachers’ Education (NCTE) guidelines.
WB TET 2018 will comprise of 150 multiple choice questions which candidates need to attempt in 90 minutes duration.
WBTET comprises of two papers.
Paper-I is to be given by candidates who want to teach Classes I-V
Paper II is for upper primary teachers, as per shiksha.com.
