TN Engineering seats at stake because of low applications

Engineering applications not affected by NEET

In spite of the qualms that Tamil Nadu students will lose out notably on medical seats due to NEET, there has not been a significant increase in interest in engineering seats.

This year it is reported that Anna University received about 6000 more applications than 2016. Approximately 1.8 lakh seats are available this year which means 45000 seats might go vacant.  There is a possibility that unoccupied seats may increase in number once the admission process is done.
