No Negative Marking in UGC NET June 2010 Exam
University Grants Commission (UGC) has released a notification informing candidates that there will be no negative marking in the UGC NET (National Eligibility Test) which will be conducted on June 27, 2010
Negative marking at the rate of 25% had been introduced from December 2009 UGC-NET onwards. For each incorrect answer, 0.5 marks were deducted.

The Notification reads ” This is with reference to our Notification published in the Employment News dated 10th-16th April 2010 for Junior Research Fellowship for Lecturer ship to be held on 27th June 2010. It is informed that the University Grants Commission (UGC) has decided that there will be no negative marking in Paper I and Paper II (Objective Type) of UGC NET to be held on 27th June 2010 onward.”
