Students appearing in the next Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) for admission to the IITs will not have any opportunity to either seek re-grading or retotaling.
Introducing the reforms, the Joint Admission Board (JAB) also decided to issue performance cards to the students appearing for JEE, specifying marks and the ranks secured by them in the test.
According to IIT director Surendra Kumar, the JAB discussed and decided on these issues in its meeting on August 23.
As per the decisions of the JAB, the answer paper of JEE-2010 is a machinegradable Optical Response Sheet (ORS). These sheets are scrutinised and graded with extreme care after the examination. No photocopies of the machine-gradable sheets will be made available.
