CBSE Class 12 Results

CBSE now invites applications for revaluation for Class X and XII

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is going to accept the revaluation request for the marks of Class 12 and 10 examinations. All the students who want a reassessment of their marks can submit the request on the official website of CBSE. The last date for the submission of applications is 7th July.

Students can submit applications for scrutiny of the marks in twelve subjects including English Core, English Core (based on CBSE and NCERT), Hindi Core and Hindi Elective, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, Business Studies, Accountancy, and Economics.

Only the students who had applied for the photocopy of their answer sheets can apply for the scrutiny of marks. The result of the students of class 10 was declared in grades. They can also apply for the scrutiny of marks.

According to the notification by the CBSE,

  • Each student can request for revaluation of maximum 10 questions in the theory portion of the subjects.
  •

  • Each question’s evaluation is worth Rs. 100. Students can apply for revaluation only once.
  •

  • All the offline requests will be accepted only if they are accompanied by the fees.
  •

  • All the demand drafts have to be addressed to the Secretary CBSE.
  •

  • Students can also use NEFT transaction to make the payment.
  •

  • The complete notice is available on www.cbse.nic.in.

The board has stated that all the applicants, before applying for scrutiny, must first refer to the marking scheme of the given subject. The marking scheme of all the subjects, along with the question paper, is available online at the board’s website. Only after the thorough checking with marking scheme, the student must apply for scrutiny.

The decision was taken after many students went to Orissa High Court and reported that there was a major difference after re-totaling. The CBSE has permitted the scrutiny of answer sheets after  the intervention by Delhi High Court.

Even though the CBSE had decided to stop the revaluation process from this year, after the intervention of the high court the board agreed to it.
